Belief + Action = Result
by Tom Leu
Much has been written about the power of the human
subconcious mind. In sum, what our
conscious (discerning/rational) mind suggests to our
subconcious
(undiscerning/irrational) mind manifests itself and becomes our
"reality." In other words, if you tell yourself that you are a loser,
then you will behave like, and ultimately become a loser. If you
repeatedly tell yourself that you attract wealth, then you will do the
things necessary to attract, and become wealthy. Your subconcious mind
will mandate the behaviors and actions necessary to carry out its
instructions from your concious mind. Sooner or later,
what you tell yourself to be true will
become your truth.
So there are three distinct components of
Belief,
Action and
Result to consider inside
the following four sets of equations:
B + A = R (where Belief
and Action are high producing a high Result)
...dreamers and doers
b + A = R
(where belief
is low but Action is high producing a high Result)
...doers
B + a = r (where Belief is
high but action is low producing a low result)
...dreamers
b + a = r (where belief
and action are low producing a low result)
...the
majority
1. Belief
- what we believe, if we believe, when we believe, how much we
believe... We don't have to believe something to be true in order for it
to be true. Something may be actually true whether we believe in it or
not.
2. Action
- what and how much we do, what we don't do, or just think about
doing... Taking specific action toward a defined goal is the only sure
way to achieve that goal. Believing or not believing in the action will
arguably affect progress, but not the actual outcome or result.
3. Result
- the inevitable outcome of the above two components combined... A
combination of belief and action guarantee some kind of result. Belief
and action are dependent upon our input yet are indirectly affected by
each other. Result is independent and will be created and exist
regardless of the relative amounts of belief or action that precede it.
So no matter how much you believe or don't
believe in something; no matter how much or little action you take
toward some goal; a result is guaranteed. Little belief
plus positive action still produces positive energy that affects a
positive outcome from the universe. Logically then, the independent
variable is the result which is directly affected by the two dependent
variables of belief and action. If you want to improve or change your
life, you should first believe that you can, but you must take some sort
of deliberate action. Belief is optional, though much harder to act upon
without it; action is mandatory; your result is the relative product of
the two.
For example, biblical tithing is an outward act or expression of an
inward affirmation or belief. The combined belief ("self-talk" to the
subconscious) with the action (financial generosity) produces a visible
result of physical, emotional, and spiritual abundance which is often
called "good fortune" or "being blessed." No matter how you describe it,
dress it up, or declare it... our life
results are influenced by, and dependent upon our beliefs and our
actions. Not the beliefs and actions of others. What do
you think about that? And what are you going to do
about it now?
