What’s the message
when things come easy for you? When opportunities, good fortune, or
just plain ‘ol good luck seem to drop into your lap out of nowhere
with minimal effort on your part?
-
Are these things
supposed to "be?"
-
Are these things
your destiny or a higher power’s will for your life?
-
Are they of great
value… or is their value minimized because little effort was put
into them in the first place?
On the flip-side,
what's the message when things don’t come easy for you? When
you see little or no progress even after large amounts of effort and
time are put into your endeavors?
-
Are these things
not supposed to “be” because they are proving difficult?
-
Does their value
become greater because of all the effort put in?
-
Or is their
difficulty and lack of progress supposed to be telling you to give
up?
Are the easy things
in life "supposed" to be... while the difficult things are "not
supposed to be?" How do we differentiate between these two extremes?
It may not be sexy
or scientific, but the answers to these questions are often found in
your gut. You have to be tuned into your gut feelings and
intuition. When things “feel right” deep down inside, despite their
difficulty, a message is being sent to you and you need to pay
attention to it. The relative degree of difficulty of things is
not the issue, but rather if your heart and soul are willing to
endure the highs and lows during the journey. It's easy to be a
“fair-weather-fan” when things are going well. But not everything in
God's world is God's will.
Most things that
are worthwhile usually don't come easy. Hard work and sacrifice
are involved.
